Happy New Year! If you are making plans and goals for 2006, the following article offers a perspective on getting what you want from life.

Change Your Feelings, Change Your Life

How you feel is how you live. If you feel miserable, your life reflects that misery. If you feel confident, you act confident and attract into your life that which you desire because you feel you deserve it.

In every moment, you feel something, and these feelings shape your destiny.

If you are holding tension in your body, if you feel tense, then your thinking is shaped by tension. And you react accordingly.

That tension is the result of accumulated thoughts and feelings. And the more thoughts that accumulate, the greater the tension (also known as stress) until ultimately you make yourself ill, both physically and mentally.

To change how you experience and what you do with "right now," you must act on the feeling level. And by changing how you feel right now, you change your destiny.

Feelings and Resistance

When you think of a goal you want to achieve, do you notice feelings of resistance in your body? It could be fear, doubt, frustration, or anger. Any feeling that is not positive and empowering is a form of resistance.

Resistance stops the flow of energy. Resistance is the cause of stress. Resistance is like trying to drive with the brakes on.

The good news? You can learn to let go of these feelings, and when you do, your life has new potential. When you remove resistance, you are able to move and you are able to do it faster.

You feel a new energy when you realize all that prevents you from having what you desire are these feelings you have chosen to hold on to because you think (yes, you think) they serve you in some way.

How Do You Let Go of Resistance?

The Release Technique is a way to let go of unwanted feelings and remove resistance that blocks you from having what you want.

I have used two courses that teach The Release Technique, The Abundance Course and the Sedona Method Course and found them both helpful.

The developers of both courses studied directly with Lester Levenson, developer of The Release Technique. So which is the better course?

Ultimately, both courses will help you release unwanted feelings, if you follow through. The Abundance Course has more of a kinesthetic basis while the Sedona Method Course has a more analytical approach.

If you are committed to changing your life in 2006, check out The Abundance Course and the Sedona Method Course to see which one speaks more to your style and needs.

Because I've used both courses mentioned above, I can personally recommend them. But if you are looking for a more traditional goal-setting program, check out Goals 2006, which is a complete program to help you "create a life on purpose."

Goals 2006 includes teaching from five of the best goals experts in the world: Jim Rohn, Bob Proctor, Brian Tracy, Zig Ziglar, and Earl Nightingale. Among other features, you get a one-of-a-kind, time-tested and interactive Goals 2006 Action Planner that is designed to help you define your dreams and create the plan to reach them.
