Marketing Massage

Marketing massage is a challenge for most massage therapists. Many massage therapy marketing techniques are available to you. Some work better than others, depending on your individual situation.

You need to spend the time, effort, and money to learn all you can about massage marketing. You need to experiment to see what works best for you. Just getting started? You might find Zero Cost Massage Marketing Techniques useful.

I have reviewed and used several Web resources in marketing my massage therapy practice. Based on my experience, I recommend the marketing massage courses from Bodyworkbiz.

If you are not sure where to start, start with the Fill Your Practice e-mail course. This 101-day course starts with how to overcome psychological blocks to marketing and how to assess where your massage business currently stands. The course then covers a variety of strategies for marketing massage and building your massage business.

When you are ready to market your massage practice with a Web site, read about how I built this massage Web site.

Other Resources

The e-book Ignite Your Massage Therapy Business by Amy Roberts provides basic, solid marketing information, although the copy I read needed a good copyeditor. Amy also offers a second e-book (I haven't seen this one), Marketing Secrets For Massage Therapists that shows actual ads used to build her massage practice.

For professional marketing materials for the massage therapy business, check out Information For People or Watercolors.

Build Your Dream Practice: A Success Manual for Alternative Healthcare Providers is a concise and inspiring manual that will quickly and easily help you overcome these three obstacles to practice growth: limiting beliefs around money, lack of marketing and business knowledge, and ineffective communication skills and patient education.
